rdup software package provides utility to create a file list suitable for making backups, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install rdup
rdup is installed in your system.
Make ensure the rdup package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rdup *
You will get with rdup package name, version, architecture and description in a table
